Overview
The Sex Blog was created by in response to Bolt shutting down their Sex & Dating channel/blog following complaints from some helicopter parents claiming it was inappropriate on site targeted at teens. It should be noted that nothing on the Sex & Dating channel ever got more racy than what you'd see in a PG-13 movie.
The blog was run by several contributors and was coded and maintained by eviltechie.
Contributors
Although many people contributed various things to the blog content, the primary contributors and editors were: ChelleyBunny, Cindee, DeviousStares, Foxie, TheSexiestDan, and Tom.
Connection to Bolt
In August of 2005, Kit Cody responded to the Bolt community's request to bring back the Sex & Dating channel. He wanted to essentially surface The Sex Blog content through Bolt. The following is some of the email correspondence relating to this, there is more but it's mostly technical stuff between eviltechie and the Bolt developer (QueenFlame) and editor (BossBlog).
The end result was that The Sex Blog took over where the Sex & Dating channel used to be. Eviltechie modified the WordPress code to allow the blog to served in a format that matched Bolt's look and fit in the location allotted to it. Another modification done to WordPress allowed the contributors to share draft articles. Before they switched their entire focus on Boltfolio, Bolt was considering moving all of their channel blogs to the same format and back-end as The Sex Blog and eviltechie provided a lot of information on how that could be implemented.
Overall it was a successful project.
