In another thread, some of you were saying George Clooney is ugly. Of course you stuck up the absolute worst pictures of the man ever taken to try to make your case for it. You used pictures in the 1980s when he had this ridiculous haircut and ridiculous clothes and he looked like a clown like all people looked in pictures from the '80s. If you take any actor in history and put him in the hairstyles and clothes used in the '80s, they'd look stupid. So I'm putting up some real pictures of Clooney after the '80s. Do any of you seriously find this man in these pictures ugly??

I don't have the lust for George Clooney like some people do. I don't think he's ugly, but I don't find him that attractive either.

It's kind of the reverse for Brad Pitt. He's gotten on the unattractive side as he's aged.

I think he's attractive, always have. But he seems like a douche to women and anit- commitment. There is normally something wrong with a person who can't settle down when they're well into adulthood.

I don't really find him attractive, although I do agree he looks better now than he did when he was younger. Because he was kind of ugly in the 80's. I can see how he would appeal to a lot of people though.

It has nothing to do with the way I want you to vote. It has to do with you contradicting yourself. He can't be "not ugly" but closer to ugly than not ugly. Do you know what a venn diagram is?

She can also vote ugly because she thinks he's closer to ugly than not ugly. Since there is no option inbetween. I think she proved as much by doing it.

This is why I say you're as dumb as dirt. You can't be "not ugly" and closer to ugly than not. It's mathematically impossible, assuming you've had a math class.

How do you rate your own looks, MrJunkpile? Are you handsome or less than handsome?

Hypothetical scenario: People are rated between 1 and 10, 1 is Ugly and 10 is Celestial Being Hotness. So in this scenario he could be rated beween a 2 to 4. You see 2,3 and 4 isn't Ugly but its not average which is 5 and not above average or hot. So you see it is possible to be not ugly and closer to ugly than not. We tend to call this below average looks.

Of course it's possible. It's open to interpretation. Assuming you've had a History class.

The flaw in your thinking is that you're comparing a linear scale to a binomial outome. This is not how math works. If she makes the statement he's not ugly and there are only 2 options, ugly and not ugly, the only correct responses would be not ugly or a refusal to answer the question, as MrJunkpile did.

I still want MrJunkpile's answer though. He's saying George doesn't quite make the grade as a handsome man, so either he thinks he's handsome, i.e. better-looking than an international sex symbol, or he doesn't think he's handsome at all, which is not something most men would want to admit to. Which is it?
