What's your talent?

Drawing? Painting? Writing? Acting? Singing? Playing a musical instrument? There's probably something you consider to be your talent... So what is it? Please provide an example of it.

For those of you who think you are really bad at all the arty stuff: What do you like doing even though you are bad at it? Or you can tell us about a non-arty talent... Maybe you're really good at Maths or Chemistry or something.

As most of you know my talent is Poetry (at least I think so). Here's my favourite of my poems:

    BULIMIA!

    The most beautiful thing
    Is thee change ring
The power to be who you are
    Suspenders and stockings and bra
    A chainsaw orgasm
    In a broken down car
    The power to play
    Every inch of the day
And go just that little bit far

    Straight to extreme
Where the air makes you scream
    As it pushes your heart
    Through your lungs
    And every sweet kiss
    So tender so bliss
    Demands the delinquence of tongues

Do you know who I am
Said the corpse in the pram
    As with your pale fingers
    You push out its eyes
    And then there is pain
As your drool drips like rain
As from its limp body she cries

    With a shudder of joy
    You destroy your best toy
Smash out its mind on the wall
    And then there is gore
    That drips from the whore
    Forming an eloquent pool

    The birds of ill omen
    Sip at their cider
    Closing their legs
    Then opening wider

    And the chainsaw melody stops
As the knife from your fingers just drops!

I'd say that measuring days in inches is a talent, AL1CE.

I used to be an awesome singer... But then I didn't sing for years and now I suck.

I have no particular talents. I can kind of draw, I can kind of write, I can kind of sing. Sorry bout that.

I envy those that can sing because I am awful.

    I'm a decent writer.

  7. I'm a very good Irish dancer. I've done other styles of dance as well and have been good at them. I tend to pick up other styles very quickly.

I am a good singer and actor. ETA: I do play multiple instruments though enjoy singing more. I have a good ear for music.

I am very strong in creative writing.

I am a better public speaker than Joy. I used to win the speech contests every year as a kid. Try to out do that, bitch.

I am a decorated equestrian. I ride English saddle and racked up a lot of awards for show jumping and dressage. I can also ride Western though I hate it. I even know a few tricks in vaulting.

I am a natural at skating and skiing.

ETA: I retain a lot of random facts. Mostly pop culture or Canadian history related.

I used to be a good singer, but am now merely decent-if-the-song-is-right-for-my-voice-and-I-don't-have-to-be-too-loud. But I'm very good at directing vocal groups. If the people involved can carry a tune, I can make them sound great. This includes a talent for getting them to practice.

I actually don't need to outdo you, Sarah. I'm very comfortable with who I am and what my talents are, and I think it's great that you take pride in your talents. :)

I used to be a really great painter. I got lots of awards for it, and sold several. I was state level for triple jump and some sprints (track and field).

Now I'm getting pretty good with certain things for my degree, bones, bone fragments, if a skeleton is male or female and its age, and things to do with flakes and blades and materials. Yeah, I dunnooo if all that counts but I like to see it as a talent

I'm in awe of people who can paint. I am totally incapable of transferring an image in my head into one on a canvas. I can't even draw a stick figure as well as other people can.

Do you have any pictures of your paintings?

I used to be a good "social" dancer. But also was quite okay at picking up various dance styles/techniques. I have had a gander at few. I was a very good performer be it acting/dancing once upon a time, but it's been a while since I have done either in front of a large audience. However I am in the process of choreographing a piece for an event. This should be interesting!

I am a very public good speaker and have a good tone of voice that's apparently soothing. Even when I'm waffling I have a way of making it seem as if I know what I am talking about. This is a talent!!! It's helped me a lot at work, heh.

I read really fast. Faster than your average person. My skim-reading is ridiculously good and I just need to brush my eyes over words in order to get the context. School was a breeze as a result.

I used to write really well but then Comp Sci ruined it. I find myself writing in pseudocode style for the most part.

Two things I'm terrible at: Singing and Art/Painting. I can't do either. Woe woe woe is me.

I'm also getting better at cooking/baking, but I seem to have a natural flair for it :)

I don't know, I'm "good" at things, but I don't consider most of them to be "talent" worthy.
I'm starting to become slightly talented with cooking however, in my opinion anyway.
